I wanted to let you know about an incident that happened 2 days ago. Below is my eyewitness account to the incident. Two 11 year old boys were detained at Cordoba school.Towards the end of our monitoring period this afternoon,as we were leaving the area, the TIPH (temporary international presence in Hebron) and I saw 6 soldiers armed with M-16's run urgently up the hill towards the school. We then heard 6 soldiers shouting violently at the children and heard children screaming and crying. The three of us ran up the stairs to find the soldiers pulling the boys by their clothes to take them to the police station. The teachers from the school were still on the school grounds and surrounded the children to protect them and attempted to talk to the soldiers. The soldiers yelled at the teachers several times to "go away". Finally, the Principal came out and intervened. The soldiers made the teachers leave and allowed the principle to stay and talk to them on the boys behalf since she told him the parents were at home and not near the school.BestThe soldiers were accusing the boys of throwing stones at the Israeli settlement across the street and down the steep hill from the school (Beit Hadassah Settlement). The principle explained that the boys were playing and started to fight with each other and did not intentionally throw stones at anyone. TIPH said while they had been standing near the school, they only saw the boys playing. They did not see anyone throw a stone. The principle pleaded that the boys not be arrested. The captain for these soldiers who was negotiating with the principle of the school threatened her by saying "Next time if stones are thrown at the Jewish people, I will take the nice little children to the police and I will make a big (something in Hebrew or Arabic I could not understand but thought he meant a raid) at your school". He then told the principle and the students they were free to go.
The Israeli army the moment they detained the Kids After the incident, TIPH and I talked to the principle. The children who were involved and another student who had been playing with them were crying historically and were visibly traumatized by this incident. .I am attaching photos of the children mentioned in this report and did get the captain's threat to the principle on video tape which I am in the process of downloading to you tube (details below). On the 17th of December 2011 (53 days ago), Khader Adnan began his hunger strike in protest of his ill-treatment in Israeli detention and his arbitrary detention without charge or trial (known as Administrative Detention).
He is in danger of dying at any moment. His wife, Randa, who saw him for the first time since his detention today described his condition as rapidly deteriorating and that he has lost a third of his weight and his hair.

Khader Adnan, the father of two daughters and with a third child on the way, is a baker, a Masters student in Economics at Birzeit University, and a political activist. Khader, was arrested on December 17, 2011 by masked soldiers who raided his home in the middle of the night (the village of Arrabe near Jenin in the occupied West Bank). Between the 18th and the 29th of January 2012, he was subjected to almost daily cruel and inhumane interrogations. During interrogations, he was shackled to a crooked chair with his hands tied behind his back in a position that caused him back pain. He said that interrogators threatened him constantly and verbally abused him and his family.
Khader was given a four-month administrative detention order on January 8, 2012. Khader’s interrogation period has ended but he refuses to accept the unjust system of administrative detention [more details], continuing his strike on the principle that such detention is a violation of his rights and identity. Administrative detention, a regular practice of the Israeli occupation, violates the internationally-recognized right to a fair trial. International standards for fair trial must be upheld for all political detainees, including those accused of violence, even under states of emergency. A military judge reviewed the administrative detention order on February 1, 2012 and is expected to inform lawyers of her decision later on this week.
Meanwhile, Khader’s health is deteriorating rapidly and doctors don’t expect him to be able to survive for much longer.

Khader Adnan
In December 17, 2011 the Israeli Fascist Forces (IFF) raided a house in Arraba, a village outside the west bank city of Jenin. The Fascist -well armed- soldiers used a blindfolded man as a human shield to raid the house, they forced him to call for Khader Adnan.
As soon as the soldiers entered the house, they recognized the target, and grabbed him violently in front of his 2 young daughters and ill mother.

Khader Adnan was handcuffed with plastic shackles, blindfolded and pushed into the Jeep floor, where the soldiers stroke him through the 10 minutes drive to "Dutan" Settlement. Although Khader was arrested at 3:30AM the Fascist kept him handcuffed until 8:30AM when they transferred him Meggido prison.
At this point and in his first day of detention Khader Adnan bagan a hunger strike in protest of his unjust arrest and the inhuman treatment he received.
Next day, Khader was taken to Al Jalameh interrogation center where he got a medical examination. Although he notified the prison doctor of his medical conditions as he suffer from gastric illness and disc problems, he received no treatments. Instead, he was taken to interrogation straight after the exam.
The interrogation lasted for 10 days, at the beginning Khader cooperated and answered the general question, but after he was verbally abused by the interrogator, Khader went in speaking strike, and refused to talk or cooperate with the Fascist interrogator.
Khader Adnan, was taken to the court in Monday, January 30, at the same day he informed his lawyer he will start a liquid strike. "Refusing to drink water or any other form of liquids".
The court postponed Khader case until Wednesday, February 1.
Khader Adnan entered the court today on wheel chair, as he could walk no more, and his health is getting worse in the hospital where they keep him chained to the bed with 3 guards surrounding him!
47 Days has passed since Khader Adnan started his hunger strike, and until now, the prison administration gave the man nothing but promises to fulfill his demands. and threats to force feed him.

2 New, Must Listen Songs
Although I am writing in English the 2 songs are in Arabic, both from the Lebanese singer Julia Butroos's new Album Yoman Ma "One day".
Both of the songs praise Armed resistance and the nations struggle against the oppression and invasions, although she doesn't direct the songs to anyone in particular, the hints to Hizbuallah and the 2006 war are obvious.

Ok, Razan in Jail, lets not just blog about it
نحن مجموعة من المدونين والناشطين الشباب الفلسطينيين نطلق صرختنا مرة أخرى تضامنًا مع كافة معتقلي الثورة السورية العظيمة جميعهم/ن من ناشطين/ات، فنانين/ات، مدونيين/ات وغيرهم الذين أطلقوا ولا زالوا يطلقون أصواتهم عاليًا في الشارع وعبر المنصات المختلفة مطالبين بالحريّة والعدالة ووقف الظلم والاستبداد وسياسة كم الأفواه الذي يتبعها النظام السوري منذ ما يزيد عن أربعة عقود سنوات.
نطلق بياننا هذا، تضامناً معهم ومع المدونة السورية رزان الغزاوي والتي لم يتوقف يومًا دعمها ومساندتها للقضية الفلسطينية، وكانت أول من تضامن مع المدونين الفلسطينيين الذين لم يحصلوا على تأشيرات دخول للمشاركة في مؤتمر المدونين العرب الأخير في تونس. وكانت رزان قد نشرت تدوينة لها في العام 2008 إبان الحرب على غزة بعنوان "حول فكرة "التضامن" مع غزة"، قائلة: أفهم أن يتضامن سكّان كوبا والبرازيل وباكستان مع غزّة، لكنّني لا أفهم حين يتضامن السوريون واللبنانيون والأردنيون لا بل الفلسطينيون في الشتات مع غّزة، فماذا يُقصد بالتضامن هنا؟".
لا نتضامن مع رزان الغزاوي و150 معتقلة سورية وكلّ المعتقلين فقط، بل نعلن أن مصيرنا وهمّنا ونضالنا واحد، وأنه لا يمكن لفلسطين أن تتحرر لطالما بقيت شعوبنا العربية تعيش تحت الأنظمة الرجعية والظالمة، وأن فلسطين ستكون حرّة حين ستكون سوريا حرّة والشعب السوري يعيش بكرامة.
الحريّة لكلّ المعتقلين في سجون النظام السوري. وتحيا الثورة السورية، حرّة من
الدكتاتورية، و ومن التدخّل الخارجي، ومن الطائفية.

We, a group of Palestinian bloggers and activists raise our voices loud and clear in solidarity with all the prisoners of the Great Syrian Revolution. We stand with all the prisoners, activists, artists, bloggers and others, all who are shouting in the streets or on various platforms demanding freedom and justice, while decrying the huge amount on injustice and oppression practiced by the Syrian regime for more than four decades.
We issue this statement in solidarity with all those Syrian activists, and with the blogger Razan Ghazzawi who was arrested on December 4th, on the Jordanian-Syrian crossing border. Razan was adamant in her support for the Palestinian cause. She was the first to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian bloggers who were not granted a visa to enter Tunisia in order to participate in the Arab Bloggers Conference. Razan posted a blog in 2008 during the massacre on Gaza titled, "The Idea of Solidarity with Gaza." She wrote, "I understand when Cubans, Brazilians, and Pakistanies stand in solidarity with Gaza. But what I do not understand is when Syrians, Lebanese, Jordanians, and also Palestinians in exile stand in solidarity. What is the meaning of solidarity in this context?"
Not only do we stand in solidarity with Razan and the other prisoners, but we also affirm that our destiny is one, our concerns are one, and our struggle is one. Palestine can never be free while the Arab people live under repressive and reactionary regimes. The road to a free Palestine comes with a free Syria, in which Syrians live in dignity.
Freedom to all of the prisoners in the Syrian regime's cells. Long live the Syrian Revolution, free from dictatorship, sectarianism, and foreign intervention.

Hussam Abd Al-Azez
He was 19 years old when a an Israeli Jeep opened fire on him, the Shabak officers walked to his bleeding body, stepped on his chest and open fire again! the Israeli left the body ragged with bullets.
"He used to come and sit with us, he either called me Khalti or Um Ahmad, he refused to take money from anyone, he was highly principled, he went to his own death" my mom said while she was squeezing some oranges.
She continued, "they hated him, they wanted him dead, poor kid, he was sent to jail when he was 12, was released 5 years later, he had a Leukemia, they didn't want to pay for his treatment, so they released him, he was dying anyway."
My father volunteers to add to the story, "they were a group of young activist, they were specialized in throwing Molotov cocktails, once he and another young boy, throw a Molotov at a passing Jeep, the soldiers chased them for a while, the kids ran up the mountains. Soldiers tried to surround them so they ran back, jumped over a wall, where Hussam got injured, he started to bleed yet, they still had to hide, so they ran into the near grave yard, and hide in a coffin, the army searched the grave yard for a while, as soon as they left they ran to the Hospital, Hussam has already lost a lot of blood, his friend called for help, a nurse rushed for help, they tried to help but he needed blood, they found non but disposed blood bag, the blood was tainted, but they didn't care, well, no much choices there, dont you think! few weeks later they were captured."
My dad stopped to protest me using the actual names, "I know it's long time ago, don't trust those bastards." After deleting the name and replacing it with comrade, my dad continued, "they were sentenced for 12 years, few months after their arrest, the prisoners declared a hunger strike, they joined, 5 days later, Hussam was very sick, they took him to the Hospital. In the Hospital they told him, you have to change blood every week, you blood is tainted! 4 years later the Israeli authority released him, they are no longer paying for his treatment."
I found nothing better than telling the story of an unknown Initfada's soldiers to commemorate the first Intifida!
The Palestinian Never Dies!, Have you ever saw a nation die!
My dad stopped to protest me using the actual names, "I know it's long time ago, don't trust those bastards." After deleting the name and replacing it with comrade, my dad continued, "they were sentenced for 12 years, few months after their arrest, the prisoners declared a hunger strike, they joined, 5 days later, Hussam was very sick, they took him to the Hospital. In the Hospital they told him, you have to change blood every week, you blood is tainted! 4 years later the Israeli authority released him, they are no longer paying for his treatment."
I found nothing better than telling the story of an unknown Initfada's soldiers to commemorate the first Intifida!

My takes on the Freedom Ride
In November 15, 2011, a group of Palestinian activist calling themselves the "freedom riders", attempted to ride "Israeli only" bus in its way to Jerusalem " all Israeli buses operating between the settlement in the occupied west bank don't allow Palestinian IN" , the action organizers said this action is to........ read the press release here
This action I didn't support, and those are my reasons:
1- The Name, "Freedom rides": Although the use of this name may help the average US citizen to relate the palestinian freedom ride with original freedom rides in the late 60's. It was a historical political statement against segregation and white supremacy.
Yet what the people missed is, average person will make the relation directly, they wont read the press release "how many people you think actually read". Next thing you know is tweets and posts "Brave Palestinian fighting the Israeli segregation in the West Bank demanding equality and social justice" specially if they knew so little about the conflict.
2- It was an educational event, introduced to the world as a Liberation act. YES, it was a great method to educate the world about Israel's segregation system in the occupied West Bank. Yet the the freedom ride was introduced to the media as an act of liberation. which confused individuals and media outlets, turning the Palestinian struggles from a fight for liberation and decolonialization into a struggle for equality with colonizers and social justice.
3- All struggles for justice, equality, and freedom, all over the world, established its personal tactics in resisting oppression whether they used chooses Nonviolent as their weapon, such as the civil right movement, or used armed resistance such as the Cuban revolution.
At the same time Palestinian failed to establish their own resistance tactics, well, this is not fair, the Palestinian did establish their own tactics, they did adopt the popular war in the first Intifada".
In other hand when the Palestinian adopted nonviolent, they end up imitating other nations, without any creativity or consideration to the special case the Palestinian cause is.
They even used the same names for god sake "really? freedom rides!!?".
Using the wrong tool leads to the wrong out comes.. simple logic
4- Disengaging the average Palestinian. let me put it this way, when you do something almost half of the world know about it, at the same time your own people almost knew nothing about it, then what ever you do, does not represent them, but represent you as an individual or your group. In other words, you are doing it wrong.
5- finally, It just didn't feel right!

At the same time Palestinian failed to establish their own resistance tactics, well, this is not fair, the Palestinian did establish their own tactics, they did adopt the popular war in the first Intifada".
In other hand when the Palestinian adopted nonviolent, they end up imitating other nations, without any creativity or consideration to the special case the Palestinian cause is.
They even used the same names for god sake "really? freedom rides!!?".
Using the wrong tool leads to the wrong out comes.. simple logic
4- Disengaging the average Palestinian. let me put it this way, when you do something almost half of the world know about it, at the same time your own people almost knew nothing about it, then what ever you do, does not represent them, but represent you as an individual or your group. In other words, you are doing it wrong.
